Part 1: The War Criminal
(Scene: The Hall of Judgment. GOD sits behind His desk, His ASSISTANT standing beside Him. A large door looms behind them.)
(Enters the WAR CRIMINAL. His steps heavy, his expression wary.)
War Criminal: So, this is it, huh? Judgment Day. I know I’m headed to hell. I deserve it—wars, torture, destruction, concentration camps… There's no use denying any of it.
God: Speak your truth, my child.
War Criminal: I had my reasons. My upbringing, my hunger... the world made me this way. But none of that excuses what I've done. If hell is my fate, I accept it. But before I go, I have to ask... why let someone like me exist? Why create someone like me in the first place?
(God pauses, writes in His book.)
God: Thank you for living your life, my child. You may rest now. Please, step through the door.
War Criminal: Wait… what? That’s it? No condemnation? No flames?
God: Your destination is paradise.
(The War Criminal hesitates, stunned. Slowly, he walks to the door and disappears through it.)
Part 2: The Saint
(Enters the SAINT. His hands folded and his head bowed. He approaches the desk with reverence.)
Saint: My Lord, I have devoted my life to following Your will. I've given to the poor, comforted the lonely, and sought to live humbly in Your name. If I have sinned, I repent with all my heart. Wherever this door leads, I will follow Your will.
(God smiles warmly, writing in His book.)
God: Thank you for living your life, my child. You may rest now. Please, step through the door.
Saint: (Smiling, his voice calm.) Wherever it is heading, I will follow.
(He steps confidently through the door without hesitation.)
Part 3: The Lazy Man
(Enters the LAZY MAN, looking around nervously. He scratches his head and avoids meeting God’s gaze.)
Lazy Man: Uh… hey. So... I’m not really sure what to say here. I didn’t do much, honestly. Didn't hurt anyone, but didn't help anyone either. I just... lived. Ate, slept, had sex… But please, don’t send me to hell! I didn’t mean any harm!
(God nods thoughtfully, writing in His book.)
God: Thank you for living your life, my child. You may rest now. Please, step through the door.
Lazy Man: (Wide-eyed.) Wait… am I going to hell?
God: Your destination is paradise.
(The Lazy Man hesitates, then lets out a sigh of relief and hurries through the door.)
Part 4: The Traitor
(Enters the TRAITOR. She strides in confidently but stops short when she sees God. Her expression falters as she speaks.)
Traitor: I know what you’re thinking. I ruined lives, broke hearts. But I had my reasons! Every man I hurt deserved it—arrogant, selfish liars, all of them! I played the game to survive. And now you're sending me to hell, aren't you?
(God looks at her with warmth and kindness.)
God: Speak your truth, my child.
Traitor: What truth? That I’m a sinner? Fine, I admit it. But I want to know—before I step through that door—where am I heading?
God: Your destination is paradise.
Traitor: (Staring in disbelief.) Paradise? Why? After everything I’ve done?
God: Yes. Thank you for living your life, my child. You may rest now. Please, step through the door.
(The Traitor hesitates for a long moment, then slowly walks to the door and steps through.)
Part 5: The Inquiry
(After the four have gone, God’s ASSISTANT, a glowing being of light, steps forward.)
Assistant: My Lord, forgive me, but I don’t understand. The criminal, the saint, the lazy man, the traitor—they all received the same judgment. Why? Some were good, others obviously not.
(God closes the record book with a thud, His voice infinite yet tender.)
God: It is as it is.
(God smiles gently, a quiet stillness fills the room. The Assistant, standing beside Him, glances at Him with a knowing look.)
