The Control Room (Part 2)

"Captain, you’re dismissed."

You: So we’re supposed to wait? Just trust they’ll find him?

Ed: Jun, patience.

Commander: Your duties are here. That’s all.

You: Then you’re making a big mistake!

Commander: That’s an order, Captain. You’re dismissed.

(The tension in the room is palpable as the Commander’s voice cuts through the air. Ed places a hand on your shoulder, steering you toward the door.)

Ed: Let’s go, Jun. We’ll find a way to…

(Once in the corridor, you stop and turn to Ed.)

You: Why didn’t you say something? You know he’s hiding it.

Ed: Not here. Too many ears…

(You catch on, nodding slightly as you scan the corridor, realizing Ed’s caution.)

Ed: (thoughtfully) Raf... what’s in your mind?
