Colleague 2: Probably passed out after another all-nighter.

Colleague 1: Doesn’t he have family or friends?

Colleague 2: Who knows? And honestly, who cares?

(You: Help! I’m in here!)

Colleague 1: He’ll die trying to make the boss rich.

Colleague 2: No one gives a damn about effort here.

(You, voice cracking: Please, help me!)

Colleague 1: You’ve gotta kiss the right asses if you want anything around here.

Colleague 2: What a poor idiot.

(Their laughter fades as they walk away, leaving you trapped, hopeless, and unheard.)
